Windows 7 and earlier

In Windows 7 and earlier

We can copy an entire CD-ROM into a file in a specific format such as the ISO file format. The copied file can then be stored in a hard disk drive. We provide ISO files for most campus licensed software. The following instructions will guide you to open an ISO file and install a software system. However, some software systems are not stored in ISO files and can be installed directly after downloading, for example, the anti-virus software

Step.1

We can use an unpacker to open an ISO file. 7-zip is a commonly used unpacker, and you can download it from http://www.developershome.com/7-zip/.
You can then right-click on the ISO file and select “Unzip to (folder name)” under “7-Zip”.

Step.2

Run Setup.exe or other installation program from the unpacked folder to start the installation.
